Combat-related XP (also known as Encounter XP) is dependent on Ryder's level. Points are gained by completing missions and in combat. Also I'm sure everyone who's been just 1 point away from maxing out a power would tell you how every little point matters XP are the measure of Ryder's experience as a Pathfinder. Getting extra skill points without the enemy scaling with you is big. The 2 skill points you missed? Utterly meaningless, in the grand scheme of things. You will be drowning in skill points, just playing the game normally. This would allow you to really specialize into something at a cost, but would act as a great skill point dump when you really max out. As you become better and better at something, it takes more time to show real improvement. So once you finish your 6th rank, you could go back and purchase the 4th, 5th, and 6th skills you passed up but at a penalty. What I think would be cool is the ability to fully flesh out a tree. It's too many options and too many skill points. Andromeda Points can be used instead of the in-game earned Credits to obtain new multiplayer equipment packs for Multiplayer.
